A westbound LA&SD passenger train arrives at Chapman behind an SP ALCO PA/PB set. The headend cars include a Rock Island express boxcar, an REA express reefer, and an SP baggage-mail car.


The LA&SD passenger train is stopped at Chapman. Behind the headend cars are an SP Shasta Daylight chair car, an SP ex-Daylight chair car in Sunset colors, an SP Budd chair car, an SP Budd Coffee Shop-Lounge, a Rock Island 6-6-4 sleeper, and a blunt-end SP Budd 10-6 sleeper.


A westbound LA&SD Christmas mail and express extra pauses at Corona. Behind the SP F-units are seven express reefers (REA, PRR, GN and PFE), five express boxcars (SP, PRR, T&P and Rock Island) and a heavyweight 12-1 Pullman.
